How do I blur faces in a photo or video?
Open Kumo, pick a photo or video from your library, and it automatically detects and covers every face with a blur, pixels, or a sticker. Tap any face to include or exclude it, then save or share the protected result.
Is Kumo free?
Yes. You can cover faces on unlimited photos for free (with a small Kumo watermark) and export 3 videos. Kumo Premium is an optional yearly subscription that removes the watermark and unlocks unlimited videos, HD export and all stickers.
Does Kumo work on videos?
Yes. Kumo tracks each face across the whole video and keeps it covered when people move and when the camera pans or zooms — then exports the protected video. The analysis runs entirely on your iPhone.
Does Kumo find small faces in group photos?
Yes. Kumo looks for faces across the whole image, including small faces far in the background of a group photo, a school show or a party — then covers each one.
Are my photos or videos uploaded anywhere?
No. Everything happens on your iPhone. Kumo has no servers, needs no internet connection, and never uploads or stores your photos, videos, or any face data.
Does Kumo use facial recognition?
No. Kumo only detects the position of faces to place the mask. It never identifies people and creates no biometric data or face templates.
What devices does Kumo support?
